The High Heathercombe Centre is a vibrant community space, offering the opportunity to experience the beautiful Dartmoor landscape to a wide range of groups and organisations.

The Centre is run on a charitable basis by the High Heathercombe Community Interest Company and is set in six acres of its own grounds.  It is ideally located for exploring Dartmoor’s beautiful landscapes and wildlife.

There are many possibilities for people to explore themselves and the wider world through education, creative activities and the acquisition of new skills – whilst enjoying the benefits of community experience as well as interaction with the natural environment.

Our Ethics and Permaculture

We are deeply committed to the Permaculture ethics of Earth Care, Fair Shares and People Care, and seek to underpin all of our work at the High Heathercombe Centre with these core values.

In tandem with the Permaculture Design Courses run at the centre, we are creating and implementing a number of Permaculture designs within the High Heathercombe grounds, including a young Forest Garden (food forest) and medicinal herb garden.

Adjacent to the main room is a well-equipped kitchen where groups can prepare meals.  There is also an adjacent room for food storage and laudry.

For additional accomodation there is space for camping and a few live-in vehicles.
