The Objectives of High Heathercombe C.I.C.

The purpose of High Heathercombe CIC is to carry on activities in Heathercombe that benefit the community. It does this in three ways that are essentially charitable:

  • providing accommodation for young people, people with disability or particular needs and those who are socially or economically disadvantaged – whose physical, social or spiritual welfare can benefit from activities based in Heathercombe’s wonderful natural moorland and woodland environment – such as training, recreation, adventure and interaction with that environment;

  • furthering education in sustainable development - including climate change – and in the appreciation, conservation and protection of the natural environment – with particular reference to Heathercombe’s own environment; and

  • promoting public participation in and appreciation of the visual and performing arts and crafts – particularly those that draw their inspiration from the natural environment; using their creation and appreciation as transformational and inclusive processes for the benefit of the social and spiritual welfare of young people, people with disability or particular needs and those who are socially or economically disadvantaged.
